Calendar Wapello Chiefs Bowmen hold a minimum of four public shoots each year. All shoots have 4 courses set up with a total of 48 targets. Registration for all shoots is Saturdays from 7:00am to 3:00pm and Sundays from 7:00am until Noon. All scorecards must be turned in by 3:00pm on Sunday. Binoculars are allowed, but no rangefinders. Traditional and nontraditional shooting styles are allowed, and children are strongly encouraged to participate. We have a concession stand on the grounds and there is always free primitive camping.
2010 SHOOT DATES June 5 & 6 This shoot is open to all shooters. It is the second leg of the IBA Shoot Out.
July 3, 4, & 5 Our Traditional Shoot will be a little different this year. It will be for traditional only shooters on Friday, July 2nd and Saturday, July 3rd. We will open it up to traditional and compound shooters on Sunday, July 4th. Registration for Friday is 8am to 4. Registration for Saturday is 7am to 3pm. And Sunday it is 7am to noon.
July 24 & 25 This shoot is open to all shooters.
August 21 & 22 This shoot is open to all shooters. This is also the third and final leg of the Southern Iowa Triple Crown.
First leg of the Southern Iowa Triple Crown June 20 at Hickory Ridge. Second leg of the Southern Iowa Triple Crown July 9, 10, & 11 at SCBI.
